Apply to be a Research Fellow
Undergraduate Research Fellows provide guidance to first- and second-year undergraduates who earn credit as assistants on faculty/staff research projects. Appropriate candidates will be interviewed starting on March 2nd, 2009. *The application deadline is Monday, February 23rd, 2009;* all materials must be received by *4:00 p.m.* in room 25 Ingraham.
*PLEASE NOTE:* All New URS Fellows are required to register for a 2-credit seminar – Inter-LS 315: Paradigms and Process in Academic Inquiry for the Fall semester 2009-2010. All Fellows must be available Wednesday afternoons between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 pm. All appointed students are expected to serve for the entire 2009-2010 academic year. Additionally, all Fellows will be required to attend a training module, which will run from Monday, August 24th through Thursday, August 27th, 2009.
Applications must include:
- The 2009 URS application form
- Attach a cover letter expressing your interest in the position attached on a separate page.
Cover letter should address the following:
- Your research background and interests
- Your future academic & career goals
- A personal statement about your goals and expectations as a teacher
- Your résumé
- Your course grid for the spring semester indicating times that you are available to interview during the weeks of March 2nd and March 9th.
