In the spring of 1997, the University of Wisconsin-Madison established the Southeast Asian American Student Academic Services (SEAASAS) program to help address the needs of four designated Southeast Asian American ethnic groups: Hmong, Khmer, Lao and Vietnamese. Our staff offers a keen understanding of ways to achieve academic excellence and pursue gratifying life-long careers. Our program welcomes students, their families, and community groups.
Entering the university may be a time of great change for many students. Our program provides you with support in order to ensure that you benefit from your collegiate experience in ways that will prepare you for your goals. Whether you are still testing your freshman legs or are an "old pro" at college, we are here to help you link with the campus and the greater community.
