The Lawton Undergraduate Minority Retention Grant is available to American citizens or permanent residents eligible for financial aid and who demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Services. Students must be Wisconsin residents or Minnesota residents holding tuition reciprocity and be members of a statutorily underrepresented group (African American, Hispanic, American Indian/Alaskan Native, or Southeast Asian students of Vietnamese, Cambodian, Laotian, or Hmong descent who entered the U.S. after 12/31/75).

Grants for 2006-2007 ranged up to $3,000 per year based on financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Services.

The Lawton grant is available to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, are enrolled for at least six credits, and are in good academic standing. Students must be seeking their first undergraduate degree to be eligible to receive the grant. Read the detailed Lawton Grant eligibility information.
