Sonnets from 2003
In My Dreams
There is a strange world that I retire to,
This world it comes to me in dreams at night,
At times it sometimes comes as thoughts to do.
In these strange dreams I see shields shaped as kites,
As well as wizards, dragons, and magic.
In these good dreams do I take arms as would
A warrior raise up his great war-pick.
To bring it down like an axe on some wood,
With enough force to scare off bad nightmares.
Winning the great battle I march with pride,
No worries, fears, or things about for cares.
But then I wake to find me on my side.
I was seeking paradise in a dream,
For now I'll settle for coffee with cream.

Everlasting Love
Everlasting love burns my heart and mind
Bestowing eternal urges on thee,
Urges of desire, hoping thou to find;
With my heart yearning for thou to find me,
Longing endlessly, day in and day out
Recalling the love that I once possessed
I endure an agonizing mind bout,
Naive to what I did to make thou stressed
What could I do to render your return?
Trials of countless failures haunt in me,
While rejection always occurs I learn;
Yearning, thou to open my heart and see
The everlasting love burns me, within
For why would not thou allow me right in?

Sonnet 1
Thee remain free, for Africa to see,
Thy colors green, yellow, red, never lost.
Thy sacrifice, to free thy love to be,
Protect Africa 's symbol at all cost.
Africa was caged behind the steel bars,
Thee retreated when thou were invaded.
7 They dropped bombs and artilleries form stars,
Thee threw spears and muskets while they raided.
Thy history rich from time and so green,
Coffee is thy art and church is thy life.
O thy ow'st the great Sheba 's pride, thy Queen,
12 O generosity is always rife.
I call thee the Superb, land of the great
Ethiopia , thee always create.
7 Stars planes 12 Rife common
