Katrina Brummer

Debby Bushéy

Katrina Brummer is currently a senior at UW-Madison majoring in legal studies and Spanish.  Not only is Katrina a member of Phi Kappa Phi, she is also the secretary for the UW Pre-Law Society, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a regular volunteer for the Legal Information Center and the UW Law School’s Family Court Assistance Project.  After graduation, Katrina plans to attend law school and pursue a career in family or immigration law.  In her free time, Katrina enjoys golf, tennis, cooking, reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.  She is a 2007 inductee of Phi Kappa Phi.

Debby Bushéy

Debby Bushéy, Administrator of Phi Kappa Phi for over the past five years, is also an Administrative Coordinator in Student Academic Affairs of Letters & Science at UW-Madison. She's worked for the UW for over 25 years. Debby is the main contact for new initiates and current PKP members, takes care of the budget, and keeps the chapter running smoothly. Professor John DeLamater

Professor John DeLamater

John D. DeLamater received his Ph.D. in social psychology at the University of Michigan. He joined the UW-Madison Department of Sociology and is currently a Professor. His research interests include personal/ intimate relationships, human sexuality, and the impact of life course transitions on sexual attitudes and behavior. He has received several awards for outstanding teaching during his career, and regularly leads a graduate seminar on teaching at the college or university. He is the co-author if undergraduate textbooks on social psychology and on human sexuality, and editor of the Handbook of Social Psychology. Prof. DeLamater is Chapter President for 2005-2006. Professor Ray Evert

Professor Ray Evert

Emeritus Professor Ray Evert, of Botany and Plant Pathology, is a graduate of Penn State and the University of California-Davis. He joined the faculty at UW-Madison in 1960 and retired in January 2001 after 42 and a half years of rewarding teaching and research. Ray became a member of PKP in 1956 while a graduate student at UC Davis and continues to serve on the board here at UW- Madison. Professor Ray Evert may be contacted at:

Richard Holden

Richard Holden

I am a recent UW graduate and currently a doctoral student pursuing a joint PhD in Industrial Engineering and Psychology. Specific research and academic interests include working memory, cognition, and intelligence; as well as human factors, systems engineering, and healthcare patient safety.
I became a PKP board member in 2003, shortly after receiving a Zillman Summer Scholarship for social psychological research in Umeå, Sweden, as well as the chapter nomination to compete in the PKP Graduate Fellowship (Award of Excellence recipient in the national competition).
My interests include travel, sports, windsurfing, movies, reading, drinking inordinant amounts of coffee, and painting, when time allows. Richard Holden may be contacted at:

Judith Ladinsky

Judith Ladinsky

Judith Ladinsky is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences and is Director of the Office of International Health for the University of Wisconsin Medical School. She received her Ph.D. in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Wisconsin. Judith Ladinsky also chairs the US Committee for Scientific Cooperation with Vietnam. Her research interests include international health, specifically cross-national health care delivery systems, and infectious disease, specifically diseases of developing countries. She teaches courses that examine primary care and rural health care delivery, the organization of Health Services and International Health. She has conducted extensive research on a variety of health care topics in Vietnam, most recently on malaria, diabetes, Japanese encephalitis, SARS and Avian Influenza.

 

Dan Negrut

Dan Negrut received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa in 1998. He spent more than six years working for Mechanical Dynamics, Inc., a software company in Ann Arbor, MI. In 2004 he served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He spent 2005 as a Visiting Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division, and at the end of 2005 Dan joined the faculty at Wisconsin in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His interests are in Computational Science and he leads the Simulation-Based Engineering Lab at Wisconsin. As of Spring, 2007, Dan has become a member of the PKP executive board.

Michael Smith

Micahel Smith

Michael Smith is a 1973 graduate of UW-Madison with a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Psychology. He is currently the Duane H. and Dorothy M. Bluemke Professor of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to 2005 he was the Robert Ratner Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the UW-Madison. Professor Smith has been at UW-Madison in the College of Engineering for 21 years, and has an affiliate appointment in the Department of Population Health. He teaches courses in human factors engineering, safety, and organization design and management. His research deals with safety aspects of human-computer interaction, occupational safety, and occupational ergonomics. He is a Fellow of the International Ergonomics Association.

Saby Cordoba

Saby Cordoba

Saby Cordoba is currently a freshman at UW-Madison majoring in Polish and Physician Assistant. She came to Madison from Chicago where she graduated from the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. Besides saving lives Saby enjoys music and dancing to the Latin rhythms.

Collin O’Rourke

Carly Schall

Collin O’Rourke is a senior at UW-Madison majoring in Sociology and Legal Studies, and he is completing the Criminal Justice Certificate. He is also enrolled in the accelerated master’s program at the La Follette School of Public Affairs, where he is focusing on policy analysis. Never having heard of La Follette’s accelerated program before last April, Collin almost left Madison to attend a different graduate school. Luckily, he overheard a friend talking about the program before it was too late. In his spare time, Collin enjoys reading, watching the Milwaukee Bucks, golfing, and visiting national parks. He is a 2007 Phi Kappa Phi inductee.

Carly Schall

I received my BA in Scandinavian Studies and Political Science from the UW in May 2004. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology. My academic interests include immigration, citizenship and the welfare state in Scandinavia. I joined the Phi Kappa Phi board to help maintain and strengthen ties with the Schools of Hope Literacy Project, where I worked for a year. Outside of school, I like to windsurf, watch movies, read, listen to cheesy European pop music and drink more coffee than is probably healthy.

Cassy Tully

Cassy Tully

Cassy Tully is currently a Senior at UW-Madison and is a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree candidate with an emphasis in painting and ceramics. Cassy is a 2006 winner of the Zillman summer award and will be researching Italian relief artwork in Florence, Italy this summer in order to develop herself as a ceramic artist. Her research in Italy will contribute to a final BFA exhibition at the end of July, 2006. Cassy plans to pursue graduate studies in art, as well as a professional career as an artist. She looks forward to being a part of Phi Kappa Phi next year. In addition to creating art, Cassy enjoys teaching youth art lessons in Madison as well as running, dancing and relaxing with family and friends.

Amy

Cassy Tully

Amy is a junior and will be graduating December of 2008. She’s majoring in Political Science, Legal Studies, and Sociology, and also getting the Criminal Justice Certificate. She is planning on going to law school after she graduates to study criminal law. Amy is from Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and in her spare time she likes to read, watch movies, and be with her friends and family.
