Purepecha Elders at Milwaukee's Fiesta Mexicana

Purepecha Elders that are going to be at Milwaukee's Fiesta Mexicana this August. The meeting is intended to be a cultural, spiritual and possible economic exchange between Natives of Wisconsin and Natives of the Mexican state Michoacan. There are no travel funds or hotel accomodations being offered but simply the opportunity to exercise some sovereign rights between Indigenous groups. There will be at least 3 Purhe elders, a community leader/activist/journalist (Pedro Victoriano the organizer of the event and a family history of leadership among the Purepecha), a holyman, and a economist. If you can help it would be great. Please contact Joe Yracheta, pongoid@yahoo.com, or Micloth Alonzo at orugullopurepecha@yahoo.com
