Health Care Systems in Contemporary
America This FIG will take an interdisciplinary approach in examining current
issues in health care and the delivery of care in various settings to various
populations. Nursing 105, "Health Care Systems, an Interdisciplinary
Approach," will focus on factors affecting health and the value placed
on health, the delivery of health care in different settings, and the roles
of various health workers. Anthropology 104, "Introduction to Cultural
Anthropology," will provide a cross-cultural comparison of so English
100, "Freshman Composition," focuses on building strong writing
and research skills that will prove useful in completing assignments in
other courses in this FIG. This FIG will appeal especially to students
considering applying to the Nursing Program in the School of Nursing; however,
students should recognize that entry to the School of Nursing is dependent
upon a number of factors including completion of specific courses and meeting
minimum GPA requirements. Students interested in Nursing are advised to
consult the College Catalog and to talk with a Nursing advisor
