Advisor Information
UW-Madison and L&S provide all advisers with the most essential advising tool for academic advising - a degree audit. And, UW-Madison has chosen as its audit the most popular, flexible, and powerful software available today - the Degree Audit Reporting System or DARS.
If you need help getting access to, generating, or using DARS, contact us at DARS@lssaa.wisc.edu or call 608.262.5858
DARS allows any student, adviser, or other academic official to audit the academic progress of an individual student or a cohort of students. DARS is accessed through the Web, and can analyze a student's record and evaluate academic progress in a matter of seconds.
By automating a once manual process, adviser time is liberated so that more meaningful relationships can be forged with students. If you aren't already, please consider making DARS an important tool for your work.
