If you're really lost, and an L&S student, drop by 70 Bascom Hall to see the Access Dean, M-F 1:00-4:00PM.

The L&S Deans are trained to read DARS and give you the help you need.

wouldn't it be nice to graduate?

One of the most important tools students need to stay on track toward graduation is a degree audit. At UW-Madison, the degree audit is called DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System). All undergraduate schools and colleges use DARS to audit the progress of their students and to advise them for registration.

Your audit is very important--you cannot graduate until your audit reports that you have met all requirements for your academic program(s). You should generate a new audit at least twice a semester: prior to registration to see what requirements you need to complete and which courses will complete them, and after registration to see how your new courses apply to those outstanding requirements, and to plan future semesters.

For help, take a current audit to your academic adviser. We know it can be a little daunting at first, and we are working on improving the audit appearance in the near future.

You can get your own DARS through your MyUW account, as well as request audits for programs, majors, and certificates you think you might like to complete.

Go to your MyUW and use the Student Center to access DARS.
