AAP hosts a two-day Orientation prior to the start of the Summer Collegiate Experience (SCE) that is designed to welcome both students and their guests to the UW-campus and inform them of the expectations and requirements of our Program. AAP works closely with SCE, because both are divisions of the Center for Academic Excellence. It is important to remember that as a student in AAP, you are required to take part in AAP’s First-Year Program, which includes participation in our affiliate programs: SCE AND either First Year Interest Groups (FIGs) or Undergraduate Research Scholars (URS). AAP's Orientation takes place two days prior to the start of the SCE program.

Failure to participate in AAP and SCE will affect your admission to the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

2011 AAP Orientation Schedule:

Friday,June 17, 2011 - Student & Family
9:00 a.m. - noon	AAP Student move-in Slichter Hall
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.	Lunch on own
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.	Introduction and Information Session
2:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.	Refreshment Break>
2:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.	Break-Out into invidual sessions Parents and Students
	PARENTS - Dean of Student & Parent Program with Q&A STUDENTS - Time with Panel & Ice Breakers with Fall 2011 Peer Mentors
2:45 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.	Student rejoin with parents - UW Credit Union & Financial Aid co presenting with Q&A
3:20 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.	Wrap up and closing
3:30 p.m.	UWCU & Financial Aid are available to answer parents' additional questions
