Be a Tutor

The Academic Advancement Program hires undergraduate and graduate students to tutor our students. We most often require tutors in the fields of Math, Chemistry, Spanish, and Psychology, but AAP also hires tutors for a variety of other subjects. AAP tutors usually work with students 3-9 hours a week.

As an AAP tutor, it is important you never lose sight of the following commitments with the program and its students

  • Be a good role model and promote good study habits
  • Prepare for your tutoring session and follow the policies set by the Tutor Coordinator, Katie Friend
  • Encourage students to work collaboratively with teaching assistants and professors.
