The
Academic Advancement Program
Access,
Equipping Our Students for Academic Excellence
The
University of Wisconsin-Madison is committed to creating an inclusive campus climate
where all members of the campus community feel valued, respected and free to
participate and achieve their highest academic and professional potential. For
40 years the Academic Advancement Program (AAP), a campus-wide academic
support program, has been genuinely devoted to the retention of selected groups
of students and enrichment of their academic experience at UW-Madison.
Throughout these years, AAP has provided a wide range of services to hundreds
of students that demonstrated high potential for success in our institution.
Accessibility, college-readiness initiatives, academic support, guidance,
encouragement to continue and the information and advice they need to make
informed decisions about their academic career are just a few of the many offerings
available to our students.
Our Academic Advising Staff, composed of Assistant Deans in the
Student participants are expected to maintain their AAP membership until they
reach their goal, and for most students that goal is graduation!
Application and entrance to the program is not limited to incoming
freshmen. We welcome transfer and current students; all eligible undergraduate
students are encouraged to apply. If you want to learn more about our program,
we invite you to browse throughout our website and, if interested in joining
us, apply following the appropriate links.
