Getting Advising in 70 Bascom
70 Bascom advises students who:
- Are decided about a particular liberal arts degree in the College of Letters & Sciences
- Have not yet declared an actual major
- Need to discuss the requirements of an L&S major before declaring
- Require pre-law, pre-med, or pre-health professions advice

Ways of Getting Advising- Appointments at 70 Bascom Hall
- Orientation meetings for new freshmen
- Email with your advisor (particularly for quick questions)
- Workshops for pre-law and pre-health professions students
- Peer Advising - Peers advisors are available in 70 Bascom. See the "Events" link at the top left of this page for more information.
- 70 Bascom advisors are usually available only during the academic year, September-May
- To make or cancel an appointment, please refer to http://uas.ls.wisc.edu/academic_advising/scheduleappointment.html
- Remember that November and April are VERY busy advising times in 70 Bascom, so you should schedule your appointment via your Student Center at least two weeks in advance at those times
- You do NOT need to wait until the Timetable comes out to schedule an appointment
- Remember to keep your appointment! It is especially difficult to re-schedule appointments during peak (registration) periods. If you will not be able to make your appointment, please remember to cancel your appointment.
